Hi!
Welcome to The Third Place! I’m Sammy, a Brighton-based wannabe blogger and social media enthusiast, die hard Harry Potter fan and coffee devotee. I have a passion for exploring different and satisfying places to enjoy food or coffee (usually both), and have always put a lot of time into researching places to visit wherever I go. A lot of people I know consider this unnecessarily choresome and are happy to stop at the first place they find, but for me there is nothing worse than a disappointing food experience or a place where I feel totally unwelcome!
The third place exists between our home and our workplace, acting as the core of our community life (Oldenburg, 1989). Basically this means that we all have places we enjoy spending time, whether alone or socially, coffee shop or local library, and our motives for choosing them are very different. This blog isn’t about reviewing in the traditional sense of most food blogs, it’s about what might make something a third place for someone and will feature coffee, food, travel and lifestyle aspects predominantly in Brighton, but wherever else I manage to get around to too!
You’ll have to be bear with me with the appearance of the site, I’m very new to this and learning all the time!
