UK’s first cannabis-infused restaurant comes to Brighton
The Canna Kitchen officially opens its doors in Brighton on 1st December, serving vegan and vegetarian dishes in a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
I shit you not! The UK’s first cannabis-infused restaurant is opening in Brighton’s Lanes this weekend and it’s got a lot of people talking. Promising healthy vegan and vegetarian meals and creative mocktails using organic local produce, the majority of dishes will be infused with cannabidiol (CBD) – a non-psychoactive (and legal!) cannabinoid that can reduce stress and aid memory, appetite and digestion.
The Canna Kitchen’s mission is to challenge the stereotype that cannabis is a purely recreational substance and change the way people perceive the plant by showcasing its flavour, fragrance and natural therapeutic properties.
Head Chef, Charlotte Kjaer, is an experienced vegetarian chef with a passion for creating seasonal plant-based dishes that reflect nature and nourish our bodies. With options to infuse your meals with CBD at The Canna Kitchen, the possible effects of relaxation, feelings of peace and wellbeing will make for a holistic dining experience.
Relaxation at the cafe, lounge and roof terrace
Not just a kitchen, the venue also comprises a CBD cafe and roof terrace for cakes and drinks and a cosy, log cabin-style lounge in the basement to enjoy some of the organic mocktails.
I’m super excited to be heading along for a press night this Thursday, so keep an eye on my Instagram story for updates throughout the night and check back for a review soon!
